The Spiral House (Hebrew: בית הספירלה, Beit HaSpirala) is an apartment house in Ramat Gan, Israel, designed by the architect Zvi Hecker. 1984-1989.

"I am an artist, after all. You know, real art and real architecture cannot be totally legal; very often, both are in direct conflict with legality".

"The idea of the Spiral House is very simple. The building is a spiral staircase enlarged to the proportions of a house. Over 10 years, spontaneous additions were made. We didn't know exactly what the balconies, stairs, and other elements would look like".

"It is a work of incomplete precision. Because it is so precise it can't be really finished. The Spiral's incompleteness is also its poetry, because poetry is the most precise expression of our need for precision".

(Zvi Heker, architect)
